Hiked 18 miles in two days. Including ots of elevation, lots of Class 3 climbing (feet and hands required) going over passes and thru tight joints. And still talking to each other! Next stop Durango!

Rock cairns were our best friends for navigating, along with a good topo map & compass.

It had rained hard a week earlier, but the creekbeds had already become dry gulches.
Since rangers told us no water sources on the trail, we carried all our water in. Also carried water filter, but didnt need to use it.
Lots of rock cairn art inside the joint trail.
Weather was gorgeous all day both days.
The joint trail was a narrow gap for about 0.5 miles long...
Not a place to be if clausterphobia's an issue.
